In capitulation to popular pressure, we are planning on re-introducing our carbon-fibre-tongued styles of drone reeds within the next several weeks. These include our SYNTHE-DRONE™ Carbon, and SYNTHE-DRONE 2™ Redux designs. The SYNTHE-DRONE™ Carbon parallel our original design, with the SYNTHE-DRONE 2™ Redux incorporating a reversible/invertible format. Extremely steady, and boasting a lovely blend of tone and volume, they require nearly zero setup and blow-in time. Check back within a few weeks for a more formal announcement of prices and availability.

A new feature of our website that let’s you track in real time just how many of those pipers are here with you. You can resize the map and/or pick your region of the globe there. Look to the right-hand sidebar for current statistics.

Some of you will have noticed that our site has been going through some changes recently, both visually and structurally. Transition to a new format has been a bit bumpy, but I think that everything has finally been sorted. We have moved to the WordPress platform for stability and ease of maintenance. Purchases at our site do not require membership, so if you simply want to make a quick purchase, no strings attached, please have at it! Most of our static pages will be closed to comments. However, our newer posts (this one, for example) will allow them, subject to moderation before being made public. This is a public place where people (and pipers) of any age may visit, so we want to keep the discussion appropriate to our youngest visitors. If you intend to leave a comment, we do require you to be a registered member of our site. We are planning some innovations over the course of the next few months, including perhaps a forum, special discounts available to registered members only, exclusive site content, etc., so stay tuned. When the icon there displays "ONLINE", Mark Wygent will be available to answer your questions, and discuss your concerns in real time. Just click the icon to initiate a chat. IMPORTANT: Your browser must be configured to use Javascript, and to accept popup windows from wygent.com. Hours of operation are variable, but on most weekdays, mid-afternoon to early-evening U.S. Eastern Standard Time is a good bet.
